​South Dakota’s finest hunting takes place here at the Konechne's Red Barn Hunting Retreats. Most of the hunting land is tied into CRP grasslands, tree groves, food plots, fields of corn, cane, milo and native grasslands, all of which are ideal habitat areas for growing pheasant populations.

We recommend groups close to 10-20, as a larger number is needed to hunt some of these areas properly to provide for a productive hunt. Smaller groups are welcome and we will make adjustments as needed for each group. 

We provide traditional South Dakota hunts. We utilize walkers, blockers, dogs and guide service to help you achieve a sensational hunt. Hunting typically will begin at 10 a.m. daily except for the first 7 days of season when hunting cannot start until noon. Hunting parties can dictate how long the hunt will go depending on their desire to hunt the wild habitats.

**We require a $200/person deposit to hold reservations. This deposit is only transferable to another
date in the current hunting season or the following year, otherwise non-refundable if you cancel.

You will be able to buy licenses at the lodge when you arrive. You can also purchase online, click here.

Lodging/Meals:

The Red Barn has 10 rooms with a total of 33 beds and 1 fold-out couch. We try our best to accommodate all groups comfortably rarely filling an entire room. Hunters will be provided with three delicious and satisfying home-style meals. Lunch may be a field lunch or a sit down meal in lodge depending on where you will be hunting that day. This can also be switched up depending on hunting party preference. After the hunt, hunters can rest in our spacious lodge and enjoy the fire place, a drink of their choice or playing a game of cards.
